Does a 75-yr.old have to take blood thinners after undergoing angioplasty? I have allergic reaction to aspirin and aspirin substitutes - is it ok to not take any blood thinners?

I've been told they are very important. My GP told me to drink alcohol every day (1 drink) as this is an effective blood thinner. I take aspirin as well, but if you can't cope with aspirin, maybe alcohol is better than noth
