I have so far
undergone 2 angioplasties with 4 stents placed in the right coronary artery. A
recent angiogram has revealed 90% blockage halfway through the stretch of the
stents. My doctor originally decided to do radiation and later changed to rotablator.
I would appreciate if someone can let me know what is the most appropriate procedure.
I weigh 165 lbs for a height of 5ft 7in. My blood pressure is 138/88 and Cholesterol
is 175. I have no risk habits except may be a little bit of stress. This CAD is
in my family though. Thanks in advance.
Gopal I work in a cath lab
and basically Rotablator is an effective way of removing hardened plaque from
stents, as this is in the middle of your stents this seems to be the most appropriate.
That is the way we would deal with it in out cath lab. Regards Andrina, Prince Sultan Cardiac
