Mikula, July 09, 2005 Hello, We saw an EP Doc on 07/05 and he told us that my wife has Sinoatrial Reentrant Tachycardia (SART) a type of Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). He did not recommend an ablation immediately as he said that her type of arrthymia does not tend to respond well to ablation. So he is taking a pharmcalogical approach and put her on Norpace-CR 9150 mg./2x/day). My question to anyone is has anyone had experience with this exact same SVT and had it ablated sucessfully? Did it disturb your SA node as well and end up with a pacemaker? I appreciate any feed back anyone can give us. We are going on 07/19 for a 2nd opinion to a larger more experienced hospital than our local surburban hospital currently at. Take care. Mark |
