Conor Medsystems Announces Decision from
U.K. High Court of Justice

Ruling Invalidates Angiotech Patent on Paclitaxel Coated Stents

MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb 24, 2006 -- Conor Medsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CONR) announced that the High Court of Justice in the United Kingdom today handed down its decision in Conor's lawsuit to invalidate EP 0 706 376 to Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The patent is exclusively licensed to Boston Scientific Corporation for use in the field of coronary stents.

Mr. Justice Pumfrey ruled that Angiotech's patent is invalid for obviousness over three separate prior art references.
