Frantic<\/a>“, starring Harrison Ford as a cardiologist who is attending a major conference at the Palais des Congr\u00e8s. He is showering in his Paris hotel room, when his wife answers a mysterious phone call and suddenly disappears — kidnapped! The film proceeds as he tries to figure out who, what, when, where about his wife — and as he also worries about being late for his presentation at the big conference.<\/p>\nI’ve always thought about this film because at the time I was producing a live demonstration course that was being transmitted to a large audience of interventional cardiologists at the (same) Palais des Congr\u00e8s. The site where I was situated was l\u2019H\u00f4pital Am\u00e9ricain de Paris — I was told that was where Roman Polanski’s doctors were and that he visited the hospital from time to time.<\/p>\n
I didn’t catch him at the hospital, but Polanski did walk right past me at a wine bar near the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es.<\/p>\n
