Sometimes bypass grafts close up and are reopened with stents -- or sometimes the native arteries themselves are reopened with stents. Share your experiences in this topic if this has happened to you.

I had a triple CABG 20 yrs ago. Iam 64 now. Developed unstable angina over ten days. Had Angiogram. The grafts were ok. But 92% narrowing in prox D1 branch of LAD. Previous LIMA graft for LAD is ok. Was put on IVABRADINE 5mg bd and Nicoranil 10 mg bd. cardiologist requested cardiac MRI with Dobutamine. Could not go beyond heart rate of 110, due to tight chest and dyspnoea. Don't think FFR was done during angiogram. My question is, does a drug elutin stent in D1 improve prognosis, oven that the medical management has stopped symptoms. But o feel tired periodically. Left vent ejection fraction 60%. Old inferno lateral infarct, healed, and myocardium is ok. STENT VERSUS MEDICAL MANAGEMENT, Self employed. GP, Norfolk, United Kingdom, August 8, 2013
I am a 54 male, I had a 3 way bypass 10 years ago. Since then I have had 26 stents placed in my heart. The doctor has opened up all my native arteries. Just last year he placed 3 stents in my legs after reaming out the plaques I feel like i have new legs and my heart pumps good, i walk every night, some times its long and a fast. I still work full time. My doctor has kept me alive and healthy. I now have 29 stents in my body, i hope I'm done. Thank you Dr. Shay. A guy from Illinois, Bloomington, Illinois, USA, January 26, 2012
