In addition to their use in opening
blocked arteries, stents are sometimes used in various surgical
repairs -- for example, much work is now being done in the area
of aortic tears and other life-saving emergency procedures.
My husband recently had surgery and the surgeon
accidentally cut his esophagus 17mm and a different surgeon went in and
attached a stent to close up the fistula and my husband has been having
a lot of chest pain he didn't have at first even though the surgery was
5 days ago is this normal? Have you heard of this being done on a patient?
