The new automated workflow enhancements and clinical applications are available on Toshiba's Aquilion CT line, which allows all customers to benefit from Toshiba's Quantum Advantage detector, delivering the industry's thinnest slice thickness -- 0.5mm slices -- on an Aquilion 4-slice, 8-slice, 16-slice, 32-slice or 64-slice CT system. With the development of Toshiba's first Aquilion multi-slice CT system, the company created Quantum Advantage detector technology, which offers the industry's thinnest slices (0.5 mm) across all its CT systems. Building on this platform, Toshiba has been able to offer the same 0.5mm slice thickness across the board, from the Aquilion 4 to the Aquilion 64. The Quantum Advantage ensures that whether physicians are doing a routine chest CT on the Aquilion 16-slice or a cardiac study on the 64-slice, consistent, high-quality images will be produced.
