November 28, 2007 -- Chicago, Illinois -- Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., a leader in diagnostic and medical imaging, will unveil its new low-contrast imaging feature (510k pending) available on all Toshiba Infinix™-i large panel X-ray systems at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 25-30 (Booth # 7130).

"Toshiba's new low-contrast imaging feature for the Infinix-i X-ray line can achieve better images of all soft tissues, including brain tissue, cerebral ventricles and hepatic visualization, thus allowing patients to be imaged and treated more quickly and accurately."

The low-contrast imaging feature expands the current capabilities of X-ray. Low-contrast imaging allows visualizations of soft tissue in the angiography suite, a benefit for both physicians and patients by allowing for more accurate diagnosis of a variety of diseases using a single system. This increases patient comfort and safety, as the number of exams and movement to a CT scanner are potentially reduced.

Toshiba's low-contrast imaging technique for the Infinix-i line will be available to customers beginning in December 2007.
