Toshiba Medical Names Girish T. Hagan as Vice President of Marketing

Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that Girish
T. Hagan has been named vice president, Marketing, further increasing
Toshiba’s marketing capabilities and expertise in the diagnostic imaging
marketplace.
As the vice president of Marketing, Hagan
will head Toshiba’s
business units including CT, MR, Ultrasound, X-ray and X-ray Vascular,
as well as handle strategic marketing for Toshiba and its products
in the medical imaging industry.
"Girish brings a strong background in strategic business planning and marketing
to this new role," said Larry Dentice, general manager, Toshiba. "He has played
a significant role in the leadership of our company and will bring tremendous value to all of our business units further solidifying Toshiba’s
leadership position."

Previously, Hagan served as
the director of Business Development and Strategic Management
for Toshiba, a position in which he has demonstrated himself
as a strategist, manager, facilitator and leader. Additionally,
Hagan was an integral part of Toshiba’s alignments with multiple
vendors including McKesson and Vital Imaging.
When Hagan joined Toshiba in 2005, he brought more than 15
years of broad marketing experience from AGFA, the Bayer Corporation
and GE Medical. He holds an MSEE in medical imaging from University
of California at Berkeley, an MBA from the University of California
at Los Angeles and a bachelor’s of science from Brandeis University. |
Toshiba holds number one positions in six of eight MD Buyline categories and
was named Best in KLAS 2007 in CT, MR and Ultrasound. Toshiba also surprised
industry observers and leapfrogged current technology by bringing the industry’s first dynamic volume CT to market in 2007 – the
