In 2017, the organizers of EuroPCR decided to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the first coronary angioplasty with a museum exhibit during their annual course at Le Palais des Congrès de Paris.

For this exhibit, Angioplasty.Org created four videos from its extensive historical archive. These videos were displayed throughout the course and were viewed by many of the thousands of attendees. We are posting these videos on our website (links below) to continue to inform current and future interventional cardiologists about the origins of this procedure that initiated a revolution in medicine, and ushered in an era of minimally-invasive treatment not just of coronary artery disease, but valve replacement, stroke, peripheral disease, and much more.

The videos are as follows:

The History of Angioplasty in Five Minutes

A Tribute to Andreas Gruentzig

The Pioneering Spirit

The Live Demonstration Course

(These videos were produced as part of the EuroPCR 2017 celebration of "40 Years of Angioplasty by PCR."
